SCHOOL MIND™
Teachers are amongst the hardest working and underpaid professionals in the world. Rarely thanked for a job well done, they are educating the next generation, moulding children's minds and shaping their character.
The School Mind™ programme supports parents and children to view schools as a second home, a place where children spend most of their learning life, making friends and planning for their future.
Urban Family Parents are actively involved in their children's schools and we encourage and support them to seek recognised qualifications and training in fields they love.
The Programme includes:
- Education & Careers Guidance
- Skills Enhancement & Training
- Transition from Primary to Secondary school
- Scholarship & Bursary Application Assistance
- Volunteering Opportunities in Schools for Parents
- ESOL for Parents whose first language is not English
- Support in understanding the British Educational system
In addition, parents will be expected to:
- Be in regular contact and work closely with their child's teachers
- Ensure that their child has a place in their home where they can sit and do homework without interruption.
